I'm lookin for a place to live .. 1 or 2 bedroom place .. does anyone know of any good places ? cant be out in the middle of boonies.. could pay upto $1400 for a 2 bed place or $700 for a 1 bed place

I say you should buy, quit throwing money away on rent. Sounds like you are ready if you can afford 7 bills per month. Downtown apartments are a great investment. Just look at the double-digit gains over the last few years.

I'm not an expert on financing but 1st time buyers can use RRSP's towards a down payment or maybe you could find an assumable mortgage. Another option is 5% down thru CHMC(canadian housing & mortgage corperation), borrow it if you can't come up with a few grand or use a tenant for rental income to qualify your approvel. If I were you I'd talk to a bank or mortgage broker to get pre-approved to buy. Renting a place for $1,400.00 per month plus deposit could be close to enough cash to get you owning your place. Don't sell the bride unless you have too, we all want to see her blown.

My place is pretty nice, has views (studio) only $670 icl heat/water... alot of places in the west end are well priced. should be able to get a 1 bed for under $900
