I am going to use a set of ZR1s wheels to use for autoX rubber for the vette. I know a couple of you have these wheels locally .

Looking for a pair of 17X9.5s and/or a pair of 17X11s, and would obviously prefer to buy locally.

Have a set of AFS polished aluminum 17x9.5 and 17x11 ZR1 - GS offset.

Looks like sets of used chrome ZR1 wheels go for about 800 USD shipped.

800 X 1.28 exchange rate = $1024 CAD. I will offer $1100 CAD for chrome or polished.

Any takers? If they have good rubber I will offer more $$$. If they are black or regular silver, I will offer $1000.

I had a firm deal with seller for a set of heads and intake - we had several covversations on the phone had agreed on his asking price. I offered to send check or paypal but as we were arranging to meet up shortly seller proposed that payment be made on delivery. It was clear that we had a deal and for the next few days we discussed payment method and were firming up a time to get together.

I purchases cam, rockers and springs in anticipation of my new head/intake purchase and was in process of selling existing heads and intake when seller emails me to tell me that he "forgot" that he had sold the items to someone else. This was 4 days after we made our deal.

Further inquiry shows that he sold them to someone to whom he had origionally notified that he had sold the heads locally - but for some reason seller decided to screw over the local buyer in favour of this other person.

Seller eventually apoligized over "mixup" I returned items but had to pay restocking fees and inconvienced the buyer of my heads and cam.

My conclusion is that seller is either:
1. extreamely incompetent - as he can not keep track of a significant sale, or
2. dishonest as he does not stand behind his word, or
3. bold faced liar as he sold an item to several people knowing full well what he was doing, or
4. all of the above.


In any event - this is not a seller of whom I feel I can make a recommendation to others and based on my experience I want to warn others to take caution when dealing with him.
