Anyone done automotive at fraser valley college/univ?

Hey guys, I gotta decide which school I want to go through for my apprenticeship. Just wondering if anyone had attended an automotive program there and what they thought of it. Or just a general view of the trades end of the school from someone who has been there. I would definatly prefer to avoid bcit as I have not had good experiences there. Absolutely wasted 7mo and about $2000 (not to mention lost wages) there and do not wish to do that again. That was the heavy duty mechanic end of the bcit. Avoid that at all costs.

I heard heavy duty mechanic at BCIT is the worst program you can possibly attend, yet their automotive programs are awesome, who knows though, it is tougher at BCIT then anywhere else except heavy duty, we had a few guys come into our program who have attended heavy duty, those guys said its real tough compared to heavy duty & then just as you wrote off those 7 month from their lives, wish BCIT would warn you before you got yourself into that

Good responses guys. Thanks. VCC is out for automotive, I have been in the shop repairing their hoists. The instructors are good guys, but they have next to nothing to work with. I had heard that the automotive end is decent at bcit, then again I heard that the HD end was good as well. I think on my next day off I will take a drive to fraser valley and take a look at their setup. THe HD end was so bad that 3 courses (48 people) went to the dean of trades or whatever they call him and complained. Nothing happened. What a gong show. Anyhow, If you have anymore info please speak up.
