Thumbs up Aimco Brakes and Congratulations!

Hi Guys this is my first post here for three or four years.Boy has the Pacific Northwest Board changed for the better.Well done congratulations.
Just one quick question for now does anybody know where I can buy Aimco brake rotors for my '98 ls1.These seem to be the best bang for the buck rotors that the guys over at LS1.com rave about that are sold by Autozone down south.
Thanks...ls1_bc

Welcome back.

I used to be in the brake business 4 years ago and back then Lordco stocked Aimco.

Ya lordco stocks aimco. However we have had serious problems with aimco rotors/drums on customer cars. I suggest the lordco brand or the "Enroble" brand. Im near langley and can get parts from the cloverdale lordco for their best price so I can help ya out a bit. I also serious recommend you DO NOT use raybestos parts. We had constant failures of their products at the shop.

Enroble parts are made offshore, Aimco is north american.I'm not sure about today but when offshore brake parts first came out they were ****! Absolute crap and Almost 30% of new rotors had to be turned before they could be used. These things were really warped. As I recall the only people who origionall bougt enroble were the VAP Chain and that is because they were cheap as hell(the store and the rotors).

Its been a few years now so maybe the quality of offshore stuff has gone up.I mean lordco added them to their inventory and even substituted them for aimco, which is a well made north american part.

From my experience aimco is not very good. When you get several different drums/rotors where the lug holes have not been drilled out you kind of wonder about their QC. Using lordco brand and enroble stuff we get very few complaints and those that roast brakes will do it no matter what brand you stick in.
