AFS wheels info.

Hey guy's.

What offset should I get for the 17=11 rears for my 93 Trans Am of the ZR1 style wheels from AFS??

Does the standard ZR1 offset rubb the inner fender in the back??

Thanks, Jon.

No one has any info here?

I think you need the ZR1 offset but I am not sure. I am pretty sure if you call them they will know

The ZR1 offset is 36mm, the Grand Sport offset is 50mm. The Grand Sport rims sit "inside" the car a bit more, but you'll need to "massage" the inner wheel well more and with probably need to trim the side of the jounce-bumper.

The ZR1 offset sticks out a bit more, but in the Ponitacs this shouldn't be a large a problem as with the Chevy's since the Poncho's "hips" have ~1/4" more clearance on each side. If the 315's don't fit, you can always go smaller (11" rims will fit as small as 275's) which will help lateral stability a bit, or you can roll the fender lip a bit and move the bottom of the rear valence piece outwards an inch using a shim.

Do a search in the Appearance Section for ZR1's and you see some recent threads I've commented on.

I have a chromed set of authentic ZR1's, and 2 authentic silver front wheels from a '95 ZR1.

I have the front chrome set on my car right now, and the rear set may need to be machined out a bit. I'm told the rear rims's inner hub (from ZR1's not the reproductions though) need to be "clearanced" a bit to fit the rear axles of 4th gens.

Once I get the rear wheels mounted, I could swing by and show you what they look like on a '97 Trans Am. May take a few weeks to get to it though... I'm swapped at work (82 hours last week).
