'97 Camaro Anniversary FS

One of the guys that works for us just gave me some info on a '97 Camaro
Anniversary that his father-inlaw is selling. Apparently it is mint, full load and only has 4600 KM's on it.He's asking 29,900 which I thought was a little high, but then again it's almost new.PM me if theres any interest.

Thx. Armin

Re: '97 Camaro Anniversary FS

Is it an actual 30th ann. - complete with white/orange stipes package and houndstooth interior?
The reason I ask is because lots of people try and sell 97 Camaro's as Ann. Edition's and all they really are is a base model or Z28/SS without the actual paint package.

That does seem mighty high - even for a real ann. edition........

I bought my car over five years ago for a lot less than that, and mine's a loaded gem.

Best of luck to him in selling it.

Apparently its a special order white leather interior. It's a real anniversary,
he sent me a copy of the build sheet. It's still too expensive though.

Re: '97 Camaro Anniversary FS

The '97 30th Anniversary Z28 is a really nice car, but he is asking way too much for it. There are a couple of 2002 WS6 Collector Editions for sale right now, the cheapest one has about 3000km on it, and they are asking $31,000 for it.

(I know, I know, the yellow GM used on the CE is an acquired taste!)

A mint '97 30th Anniversary should go for about $20,000, IMO.

Re: '97 Camaro Anniversary FS

Barnes Wheaton in Surrey had a TA SE vert for MONTHS and then they sold it too someone.

For whatever reason it is back there now with less then 2000 kms on it and they have it listed at $39,900.

How do they seriously EVER expect to sell that car when the START with a price of $40k. Agina, its been there for months now.

Re: '97 Camaro Anniversary FS

The one at Barnes Scott Rd is a coupe, not a convertible. It was in their showroom for a long time, was sold, and then reappeared soon after. It has about 3000 km on it. And you are right, the price they are asking is ridiculous.

Theres a CE convertible at the GM dealership in Duncan, and they are trying to get $48,000 for it!!!!!!

And, although it is not advertised, the tiny GM dealership in Hope also has a CE convertible, with quite high kms on it (more than 20K) I think, lowered with Borla exhaust, and they are asking in the mid $40s for it. Totally absurd price, given what these cars sold for new.

Compare that to the price of a nice, low mileage 2002 Corvette (mid 40s, low 50s) and its no wonder these CE cars are still sitting on lots.

i was gonna ask the same thing

if its the white/orange color package (which i personally dont really like) and its an SS...29 is a lot but its still a good investment if you're looking for a collector car...i figure if you dont drive it at all for like 5 years you could get a pretty penny out of it

That dealership isn't really that small........car for car - it's bigger than Barnes Weaton or Mertins here in Chilliwack!

They're rather known for giving good deals there........the staff does not work on commision.
