2006 Zo6

Well I've already changed dealers for the Vette. Dueck offered me a better deal. $ 5000.00 deposit and I'm guaranteed first in line. They sell 32 % of the
Corvettes in Canada and say that they are definitely getting 2. Tommorrow
at 2 PM I'm getting to test drive a brand new, just off the truck, yellow C6.

It's not a ZO6, but the closest thing to it.

I'll see if I can wear the nobbies off the new Tires. I don't have to take a salesman with me, but I have to take my Wife.

I'll give everyone a report tommorrow.

Re: 2006 Zo6

We picked up the car just after 2 P.M., had a bit of an orientation. The car uses no Key, but a Key fob which unlatches the electric doors when you are within 5 Ft. To start the car you need to put the tranny in reverse and then push the start button on the dash.
This car was a full loads with On-Star and all the other Gadgets. Colour was
Yellow, which I know a lot of people won't agree but I think is a kickass colour.
What I found about the C6 Model is that the interior is well done and it is easy to see out of the car and see all corners.
Power wise its also impressive, it spins the tires with no effort with the traction control off. (I can hardly wait for the ZO6,it must be a tire roaster).
Handling is excellent and the car is very easy to get used to.
As soon as I pulled out of Duecks Lot on Marine I had Rice stuck to my bumper , a riced out, winged 300ZX. I ignored Him.
Anyways went over the Knight st. bridge, down Bridgeport to the 99, over
the Oak St. Bridge and back on Marine Dr.
For my money this car is worth the $ 75,000.00 asking price.

Re: 2006 Zo6

Sounds like an awesome car, the Z06 will definately be that much stronger.

Didn't the C4's have that key fob thing as well where the doors unlocked.

Yup, my brother's 93 has the key fob thing that when he's within 5ft it automaticly locks/unlocks the doors and ables/disables the alarm but you still have to start his car with a key. Pretty cool.

Hey Jeepo what colour are you thinking of getting the Z06 in ??

06 Z06 vids

I dont know if you've seen these ones but here are some vids of some 06 Z06's

http://www.motortrend.com/multimedia...uto_show_vids/

Just scroll down and click on the picture of the yellow ZO6. Its not that crazy of a vid, but its the debut at the Detroit auto show. Its nothing too new or special but they give it a nice big rap of the throttle and this thing sounds GODLY

Here's another one of an 06 ZO6 running around a road course.

Re: 2006 Zo6

The pricing structure has not been published by GM. The pricing should be available by Beginning of July. Apparently the ZO6 will have stuff like the Z51 package as standard equipment, while on a C6 it is an option. The guess is that a fully equipped ZO6 will be around $ 90,000.00. In the states the
price will be around $ 70,000.00. So by the time you add 17% (GST, PST and
3% Luxury Tax) the total will be $ 105,000.00. A fair chunk of change, unfortunately the government buries its hands pretty deep in your pocket.
