New w/ '86 Z-28

Hi. My name is Kirstyn. I am 18. I have a red 1986 Camaro Iroc Z-28 I got my car when I turned 16. It has a 5.0 TPI, 2800 stall converter, t tops. I'd like to make my car faster and perform better. Any suggestions?

Me driving my Z-28!

Nice Iroc. Unfortunatly theres not really alot you can do with the 5.0 engine to make it that much faster/not really worth putting money into to that engine sorry to say. I would say put some headers and an exhuast on it. Should ad a few hp and will have it sounding nice. I would also consider adding some steeper gears into it.

That's such a nice looking 3rd-gen, but the bra is hideous. I know you want to protect your front-end, but it simply has to go. I agree on the headers and exhaust. Don't go crazy trying to make gobs of power out of that engine. Once, when I was just a few years older than you, I put a bunch of time and $$$ into a 6-cyl. truck. It was a total waste (Well I did learn some skills). Have fun, and be smart (read be careful).

Nice looking iroc...

A word of advice... if your not a member already, you might want to check out thirdgen.org also... lots of good 3rd gen specific stuff there.

Anyways, welcome aboard, pull up a chair, and have fun!!
