Hello everyone. What a super site. In the fall of 2009 I clicked on something to do with the new generation Camaro and after many hours of reading, I found a GM site that encouraged me to create my own. After making the choices, I entered my zip code and low and behold......the was a 2010 2SS RS at my local dealership in Morehead City, NC, that was an exact match. I considered that an omen! I called and ask for a test drive and afterwards I decided not to act too hastily but to sleep on it over night. Now keep in mind, I had no need or desire for a new car. I didn't sleep much that night and continued to do my research. The next morning I called the dealership and told them to "filler up", I was on my way to purchase. This was the first new car that I had purchased since 1987. Being a retired engineer, I was very impressed with the superb mechanical design and the beautiful lines spoke for themselves. After 2 1/2 years and 13k miles of sheer joy and zero problems (dealership had to add some freon in the first spring only), the ZL 1 madness engulfed me. I hated to let my 2010 go but, I didn't have garage space to keep her. I took delivery of another Victory Red on 5/15/2012. My friends didn't recognize it as a different car! Of Course I told them and especially about the supercharger thingy. Most are gearheads and they turned green. The ZL 1 is amazing. Your can drive around like a four cylinder Vega or.........! I can't wait until 1,500 miles so I can wind it without feeling guilty. I had to feel it a time or two and it is as advertised. She is like a timid school girl with braces and pigtails until you summon the boost. Then she becomes a professional call girl with a whip and mask. You only go around once my friends. You might as well do it with boost!!!

 

Congrats on the new ride. I usually buy vehicles two years old with less than 50k, but back in the 80s I did order a Camaro Sport Coupe with only the options I specifically wanted. Feels great to get exactly what you want! Welcome to the site.
