Names pepon im new to the forum and new to the LSX world. Hope you guys can help me out with any questions i may have.

Just purchased a 2000 z28 with 220,xxx on the motor so i will obviously be doing a tune up and gasket job eventually. Anything i should be concerned about??? I will be wanting to build the car for street/strip and will appreciate any help i can get.

Re: new member and first LS1

So i found an oil leak called previous owner and he said
the real main seal is leaking... Anyway i can make sure it is that before having to pull the transmission? Like is there any sensors or oil lines i should look for that might have a leak? THIS IS MY FIRST CAMARO AND FIRST LS ENGINE.

Welcome to CamaroZ28.com!

Good to see people are still buying the 4th Gens. Unfortunately, many of the previous LS1 owners seem to have abandoned this site. There are still a few left though.

I will copy your second post to the LS1 Engine tech forum, where you are more likely to get a response. May take a while, because right now I am not on a computer that will allow me to move/copy individual posts.

Look at the bottom of he bellhousing on both sides: where it meets the block and where it meets he trans. A leaking rear seal usually presents there as oil seepage.
