New Guy from MI with Chicago Connection

My name is Bob Ashton and I am the former Show Manager for the Chevy Vettefest in Chicago, and several other shows. I am currently a member of the Eyes on Design Vehicle Selection Committee too, which is a great benefit car show held annually on the grounds of the Edsel and Eleanor Ford Estate iin Grosse Pointe, Michigan on Fathers Day.

I am onto bigger and better things now, revolving around a new all indoor Muscle Car and Corvette show in the Chicago area called the Nickey Chicago Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals. (More about that in the appropriate section!)

I used to own an automobile collectibles store in the Detroit area known as Auto Know.

I live and breath cars and all things car related and although I don't currently own a Camaro, I plan on spending some quality time behind the wheel of a new Gen 5 Nickey Camaro in the near future!

Thanks;

Bob Ashton

Welcome, Bob! I have been in your store. Were you on old Van Dyke or was it Woordward Ave?

Yep, I thought so, just north of M-59 on the east side of the road if memory serves. Cool place.

I wish you were still around, I have a bunch of automotive literature I was thinking about getting rid of. If you have suggestions, please PM me. Thanks, and welcome again!
