HD = Harley Davidson, I think it was more of a sarcastic thing as in if it's stock he doesn't want to drive it. Kinda like go big or go home with horse power. Anyway Welcome!! I am fairly new myself, only been here a week or so. There are alot of great gear heads here that are willing and definatley able to help you with some budget upgrades. Browse through the LSx tech pages if you get the chance you can pick up alot of great ideas there.

Also thanks for the welcome JasonD, you were just on my introduction thread too. Glad you liked the photos I posted in my albums here. I hope to get more up soon on my photobucket page if you are ever interested in looking through more of the project photos.

Welcome!

What kind of budget? Can we assume you have a 2010 Camaro SS with the manual transmission? (You might also have a G8 GXP or a Corvette, because those have LS3s too, but this is a Camaro board after all. )

Cool camaro LS3 SS 2SS M6 Black

I got a few bucks but am thinking of CAI, Predator tune and Borla s style axle back, anyone have good results with just that combo? as to why not stock? I tend to not wanna have cookie cutter toys, like to be one up for occasional playing. eventually I may go with headers, cam, fuel delivery when money permits.

When you say "good results", are you looking for actual dyno results, or do you just want more fun and a little uniqueness? You're going to get a small bump in horsepower (10-15), a tiny improvement in on-track performance, and a big bump in seat-of-the-pants feel.

On the other hand, a set of longtube headers, a cam, and a tune to match could net you an additional 100hp, and that'd be noticeable no matter how you look at it. (But, of course, you'd need the exhaust and the CAI to fully realize those mods anyway.)

I'm not sure I'd bother with the Predator tune until you've done something more significant than the CAI and the exhaust.

Not sure what you mean by fuel delivery, but the stock fuel pump and injectors should have no issues keeping up with the rest of the plans you mentioned. Don't waste your money.

wanna keep the warrenty

as you know this is a new car on the market, it could have some unseen bugs down the road, I talked to the service manager whom I know, about how far I can go and keep it in warrenty for the five years it came with, cam is going too far, CAI, Program and Headers and exhaust is as far as he can cover for me. So I am poking around for the best bang for the buck short of opening the engine, I thought of headers with high flow cats and exhaust from there back along with CAI and tune But I want to keep it somewhat quite, My options are obviuosly limited.
