I'm in the UK and have my Black 2ss with RS pack arriving in November.
I'm just defecting from the Pony club having been running a 500bhp Roush 05 Stang for the last 4 years

Welcome! Please tell us more about what folks in the UK think about the new Camaro. I know it is not cheap to get one. Does nearly everyone want one like they seem to here or is it more of an exclusive thing?

so far there are very few on the road in the UK (probably single figures)
I only know a few people (through pistonheads.com) who actually have one.
Europe is a funny market it's full of brand snobs who have to drive BMW's Audi's and Porsche's which for the most part are dull and soulless.
They are going to officially import the Camaro next year but will only be limited to about 100 a year. The importer (unofficial) I got mine through has 2 he has been sat on for the last 6 months so it's a very niche market.
The assumption here is American cars are overweight, unreliable and can't go round corners. We try our best to educate them but it aint easy
I did want an orange one but the importer was sat on 2 cars they were desperate to shift so it was black or white. Seeing as I've had a white car for the last 4 years I thought I would go black this time.
If anyone is interested this is what I've been driving for the past 4 years
cheers
Steve

WOW...Nice Mustang!
Well, truthfully American cars can be overweight for some applications, due in part to the tight safety regulations and cost factors. They don't often go around corners well without some tweaking, and the reliability was never as bad as people made it out to be (and probably not a bad as Lotus ) but they are much better now that the American auto manufacturers got a swift kick in the butt and got their act together.

Hello from the upper Texas coast!! My wife and I have several friends that live in London and they are a RIOT to hang out with "pissin' the night away". Nice Mustang you had there, too. My future holds a 50th anniversary convertible with the most stock horsepower Ford will pack under the hood. Welcome to the site!
