Hey there!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I figured I'd stop in here and introduce myself.

First of all, I do not YET own a Camaro, unfortunately. But hopefully that will change soon. I'm currently shopping around for a 2010 2LT and trying to get the best deal I can.

I'm also a total "noob" to Camaros' in general. I've never owned one in the past, and I've never really considered myself much of a car-nut. My first car was some ancient, giant, used Oldsmobile my dad bought me when I graduated high school back in '95. It wasn't much of a looker, but it got me from point A to point B. Then in 2000, I bought myself a 2001 VW Golf, which is still getting the job done to this day.

But once I saw my first 2010 Camaro last year, I fell in love.

Up until then, even though my Golf was going on 10 years, I hadn't even thought about getting a new car (not having car payments is a VERY nice thing). But I couldn't get that Camaro out of my head. That began the process of doing research, online searches, reading every review I could find, and even researching the Camaro's history (like I said, I was never much of a car guy). Yeah, when I get something in my head, I tend to get obsessive about it.

Fast forward a few months, and I here I am, totally ready to make a purchase, just waiting to find a good deal. I visited a few dealerships last weekend and checked out the Camaros first-hand for the first time and wow. The wait to finally get my car is going to be (already is) excruciating. Then I'll probably have to wait for it to get built. Argh!!!

In the meantime, until I can actually drive off the lot in my baby, I will try and find solace here on the forums, listening to the podcast, and trying to get my Camaro fix where ever I can (I am dreaming almost every night about this damn car! Is that normal? lol).

So, sorry for the long introduction, but that is my story so far. Look forward to joining the community.

Cool Welcome

Hi and welcome, those 2010 Camaros are amazing. I test drove one at the Barett and Jackson show this last Jan in Scottsdale. Let me tell you, they drive like a Caddy. A lot more rigid than the 4th Gen Camaros. Anyways, Im a few years away from getting one myself, in the meantime I'll enjoy my 95 Z28. Happy hunting and post some pics once you pick up your new Camaro!

Welcome! I felt pretty comfortable sitting in a 2010 Camaro 1LT at the car show last year (it was a manual and the SS was a auto) and thought it'd make a pretty good DD, but I'm too much of a horsepower nut to not get a SS.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Considering the two cars I have owned, driving a new Camaro is going to feel like a dream. I mean, I am going from a 115hp Golf, which I have been driving for 10 years to a 304hp Camaro. I better keep an eye on that speedometer!

And I'll definitely post some pics once I get it, which hopefully WON'T be months from now!

Welcome to the forum. The Camaro, as many of the old car guys will tell you, is a mythical, viscious beast that eats Mustangs and now it has bitten you. Fortunately there is a cure and you are well on your way to getting it. Good luck in your search. Hope to see photos of your new 2010 soon.

I am a ways off from getting my 2010 as I have put a lot of effort time and money in my 93Z over the years but would still love to get one someday. I will be adding a couple photos to my album soon too. I want to upload the photos of the new k-member I am currently installing but just haven't had the time yet. Again welcome and good luck in your search.

I just got home from ordering my Camaro!!!!

2LT, IBM, manual, RS Package, Spare tire.

Man, what a load off. These last few weeks of "shopping" have been stressful.

Now I am sure these next 6 - 8 weeks of waiting won't be any better!!!! lol.
