I've been there. I had all kinds of ridiculous mod plans for my Civic. It might have eventually gotten down to 16 seconds in the quarter mile! I bought my Z28 five years ago and never looked back!

Angry Re: hey, from the mile high

I am really torn here - new V6 or V8
This will be my main car and my work takes me up and down Southern California (San Diego to Santa Barbara)
Also torn about Automatic vs Manual Transmission

In 1983 I had a somewhat gutless but fun Camaro V6 Berlinetta - Manual - which was the fun part - I was 20 something... The girls flocked to the black beauty but the guys were not impressed if they knew it was a V6

So, I have been driving SUVs since 1990 and the mid-life bug has bit me! I am ordering a 45th Anniversary with Stripe Delete Option but need to decide on V6/V8 and Auto/Man Trans

Thoughts? Advice?
Thanks

PS - adding Alpine Aftermarket Nav system!!

Vin

I would say go for the v8 and manual. The reason why is because who knows maybe later on you want your v6 to have more of a kick, getting the v8 will already get you the power and with a few mods you will bve happy. My 2 cents
