Hello From South Texas

Hi People
Just joined up with you all. Thank You. <img src=" class="post_inline_image" loading="lazy" />
I belong to a few other Forums and now I've come on Board with you. I'm 73 and still like the fast lane. I was building and bringing Bikes back to life (GL1500, 1200 vMaxes and Honda Magnas). Got tired of that and thought I'd get back into the 4th Gen Camaros and see what's do-able there. I've had quite a few. 1978 Z28, 1987 Iroc, 1982 Indy 500, 1993 Z28, 1994 Z28 and my last was 2001 Z28, just to name a few. I did not like the way the new designs where going, so waited a few years then moved on to Challengers. Had 09' R/T and then 2014 SRT Core. That's one of the other Forums I'm on also. So to make a Long story longer (Ole Guy Thing),I just picked up a 1995 Roller and been working to get it on the road again. Got it pictured in my Avatar. I'll upgrade the picture as work progresses. Found it in the sticks under a tree. The color attracted me. Reminded me of my 2014 Plum Crazy Purple SRT. I never remembered the 4th gens to have Purple as one of their colors. I looked it up and sure enough, 94's and 95's did.
I will go a bit different on some things in this car. (Old Guy Thing - Can't Leave Well Enough ALONE!) Already having an SS Hood painted Hot Rod Black that I'll be adding soon. Wheels are already picked out also. Probably go 275x17-9.5 frt and 315x17-11 Rear. All input will be welcomed and appreciated. I will be back on here soon.

Re: Hello From South Texas

Welcome to CamaroZ28.com ! ! !

Still a few LT1 4th Gen enthusiasts left here. Unfortunately, in spite of having 100,000+ members, hardly anyone comes here any more. But we should be able to help with the 95 roller. I ran that tire combo on my 94 Formula. There's some info on the wheel/tire combo, and possible required modifications to make it work:

See post #9 in this Wheel & Tire FAQ:

I hear you on the “73 and still like the fast lane.”……. I held on to my 9-second 94 Formula until I passed the 80+ years point. Figured is wasn't a good idea for someone my age to be making 134 MPH passes. Sold it to a younger guy who's going to put it deeper in the 9’s.

Re: Hello From South Texas

Thank you for the reply. The Formula was to be my second choice if the Purple Z fell thru. Nice car...
