Hello everyone! Just got a 99 Camaro z28
I knew I'd be back driving this badass chevy. My first car was a 91 RS and fell deeply in love with it---then I crashed it. Since then I went (sadly) to Japanese autos and a Focus. But my heart and soul lay with the Camaro all this time. It was torture seeing Chevy discontinue it, then brought back to life in the coolest fashion, as a Transformer no less!! My car today is a white 1999 Camaro Z28 with T-tops, Automatic, K&N Air Filter, Bilstein shocks, Strut tower brace, Sub-frame connectors, new Kumho tires, RS body kit package, tan leather interior, ORIGINAL CASSETTE PLAYER!!!, and in great exterior condition. The engine is spotless. The drawback was it has 129,000 miles, steering fluid need a change badly (hope it's not the pump), body repair was done on the left rear fender (not visible though, that's good!), and may need new rear diff fluid since it whines a bit after reaching 35mph (I'm hoping it doesn't get worse!) then goes away at 50mph. I've already changed the PS fluid and serpentine belt.
I feel it needs some brakes too so I'm looking into the Duralast Gold pads, unless you guys have a better suggestion. Also, any ideas on how to check/replace the rear differential fluid?
I'm so happy to be back with my true love. Camaros are the best cars in the world. I'm hoping to really get my hands dirty in fixing the car the best way possible and maintaining it throughout its life. Happy to be here!
