Hello from Afghanistan!

Hey everyone just joined a few days ago. Thought it would be appropriate since I just ordered a 2SS last week. Im Currently in Kandahar Afghanistan working with the Marine Corps. Ill be home in July(good thing cause my salesman said it would come in June!). I was really hoping to get some input on some things i could do to the Camaro to maybe get around 500 hp. Also my state of residence is NH, so if anyone know of any good shops in the area that could work on it that would be fantastic! Thanks alot and everyone have a good day! Brandon

welcome, congrats on the order, stay safe over there and there may be a welcome home present here for you... hope its not delayed, the car that is. A post on here says its 80/20 split between SS and V6 orders respectively. Not sure if GM intended to produce in that ratio so... rumor is SS cars may be delayed.

I have decided to hold off on the new SS until the Corvette is paid off... can't come to trade the Corvette for a Camaro so I will likely be keeping both...

My intent is to order a 1SS, I hate leather!

Take care, be safe and thanks for your service!

Semper Fi!

Maybe enjoy the car as is for a while, then mod it and get the rush all over again.

Welcome!

Naturally, there's not much listed as available yet, but with the kind of engine, I'm sure all you'll need is a set of headers and a nice little cam. Then again, with the cam you'll have to worry about tuning, and who knows how long it'll take before someone has software ready

Anyway, sounds like you'll have something great to come back to!!!

in theory shouldn't we be able to use the cams/tunes that are already out for the ls3?

I admit that I don't know enough about tuning to answer 100%, but you can use any cam that others are using successfully in LS3 (well, all work, but might as well find something that goes well with the heads).

As far as the tuning, I don't think every LS3 has the same PCM, which is what tuning software hooks up to. Like I said, I'm not sure. I know for LS1 edit you can use it with any F-body, but not sure if you can use it with the Vettes. If so, chances are LS3 tuning software will work. I just haven't done that much homework yet since there's no chance I'll be getting one
