Hi all. When I was in high school, the 4th Gen Camaro was about to be introduced. I dreamed of having the Burgundy Camaro Z28. Had posters on my wall. Then 10 years ago I met a guy who had one that was his Sunday driver. I begged him to sell me the car.
Then one Sunday I was on my way to buy a 1979 Stingray. I called my buddy to tell him, but he didn’t answer. He called back 2 hours later and talked me out of buying the stingray. I still went to look and checked out the guy’s collection.
A few weeks later my buddy comes to birthday party driving my dream car. He handed me a card. I opened it. Inside I found the signed over title and the keys. OMG! I finally have my dream car!!!!
If I’m not mistaken, that color is called Cayenne Red Metallic, though it’s always tricky to tell the difference between that, Medium Patriot Red Metallic, and Monterey Maroon Metallic. If you’re curious, the RPO code sticker on the driver side door jamb will have the paint code. Either way, it’s gorgeous!
Appears to be in amazing condition. Thanks for preserving a good example of the breed.

Thanks, Fred! I am super proud of her. I joined the forum to learn a little more about the car and what can be done to it. I have her tucked into bed for the winter and can't wait to get pull out in the spring.
