I got a 2010 Camaro which I absolutely love but I've got a question regarding the Pirelli tires that came on the car. I've driven in the rain on 2 separate occassions and both times I've had to really hold on to the steering wheel as I get the sensation that the car will start to hydo-plane. I am not a racer and only do freeway driving. I just made 12, 000 miles but you can now see the wear-bar.
Is there any other members that are experiencing this with these tires? I've got different tires on my corvette and never have the above issue. I'm taking my car in for a check up with my tire guy but would like to hear from you folks out there if this is a pretty common occurrence with this Camaro.

Welcome!
If your tires are worn out, that explains the hydroplaning.
However, after only 12k of highway driving, your tires shouldn't be worn out. Something's wrong. Since your car is still under warranty, take it back to the dealership and have them check it out. I suspect that there's an issue with your car's alignment.
I'm not aware of this being a common issue with the new Camaros, so definitely get it checked out. I don't think I'd bother with the tire guy, since the car is still under warranty. He'll most likely just sell you another set of tires, which will just wear out too quickly again.
