Been away from Camaros for awhile

Thinking about getting a Z or SS '98 to '02. Want a convertible. I've had a couple of Miatas. Love the top down. Haven't had a Camaro since the '70s. My first car was a plain 3 on the floor, 327, 1968 Camaro that had a great paint job on it when I bought it. It soon had a local built HiPerformance 327with Vette highrise, 780 Holley, headers, M 4speed, 411 with the HD springs, HD clutch, traction bars. Never beaten in "Spotlight to Stoplight" or "Side Street" drags. Fun car until the Highway Safety people called me in for a talk. Put it on blocks and sold it piece by piece. My 3rd car was a '72 RS. Left it stock. Those were the days.

Have you been in the new Camaro's I have a 2011 I bought with 3000 miles on it SS/RS Its my baby. Car has alot of power great ride and with a few exrta on it sounds great. Have a hard time keeping my foot of the accelerater paddle. High flow cats, full stainsteel exhaust K & N air filter kit, and soon a 95MM throttle body. Its a blast to drive and you get a lot of lookers. Give one a test drive think you would like it.

Re: Been away from Camaros for awhile

I bought the 2000 SS convertible. Opened my mouth, made an offer and they took it. It appears to be fully loaded. 12 CD in trunk, rear defog, Monsoon CD, Leather seats, 3.23 ratio axle, ASR, Preferred Eq. Package. Is the tilt wheel stock on all Camaros? Went for a top down drive today. The only thing that I found so far that needs to be fixed is the door speakers. It hauls buns!
