84 Z28 in Texas

Well, after another member told me about this site, I figured I had to register.

My car is an 84 Z28 with the High Output L69. I'm the second owner, it was originally ordered by my father-in-law's brother Jimmy. He had to stop driving in 1986, and parked the car in a barn. It was pulled out and serviced in 92, then put back in the barn.

Jimmy passed away last year, and in November I was moving some furniture out to the barn when I saw a Camaro covered in dirt in the back corner. I made a comment about it, and finished moving the furniture and left. A couple days later, my father-in-law called me up, and told me that he knew I loved cars, and if I could get the Camaro running I could have it. It took me two days

New battery, spark plug wires, ignition cylinder, tires, and a lot of carb cleaner. Once I got it home, I replaced the fuel pump, some vacuum lines, rebuilt the carb, and checked and changed fluids. After washing, polishing and waxing, the paint looked amazing, much better than expected.

Here's a couple pics of the car:
