Vids of Turbo LT1

Just thought you guys would like to see this. It a turbo LT1 (I built the hotparts )... pretty much a stock motor, but he has forged rods/pistons and 1.6RR's. Everything else motorwise is stock.

He saw 6psi in 1st and 2nd gear, and it crept up to 8psi in third gear. He is only running 15 degrees timing because his knock sensor isnt working. He should be running 24-26 degrees to optimize his setup at the curent low boost setup. He could have easily run high 10's just by changing the timing. Not bad for all STOCK heads/cam/intake/TB.

Pretty much no boost on the launch, but he knows how to set up a car.

Awesome goal bro. Its gonna take faster than an 11.9 to beat it. Tough to do, but worth the glory. Only problem is that once you get it, then you line up against a stockish turbo'd LT1, you'll be in trouble

Update, Justin posted some cool info:

I found out my old WG spring(4lb spring) wasn't strong enough and thats why I was having problems with it opening early and not holding boost. The new 9lb spring is working great and maxed out my maf and injectors. Hopefully I can hit the track on Sunday with it on the 11lbs.

I found out also before my track runs were only on 5lbs in 1st and 2nd and 7lbs in 3rd, and now it will hold 11lbs in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

Also found out it weighs 3500lbs today, so it's not a light car.
What this means is that his 11.2 @ 121mph on a stockish motor was at 5psi in 1st and 2nd gear, and 7psi in third. Not bad!

UNfortunately he wouldnt be considered stock (forged rods/pistons and 1.6RR's). Other than that his motor is stock. I fully expect him to run mid 10.3-10.5's this weekend on 11psi and I bet he could squeeze a 9.9 @ 15psi if he pushes it. We shall see.. he may be the first in the 9's with stock heads/stock cam/stock intake/stock TB.

Just goes to show you what someone can do with low boost and a well setup car. Whats funny is Justin's tune is more conservative then if he had a stock LT1 engine.

Just a 2 car garage. One side has my camaro, the other side is where I work. No lift. You are more than welcome to come by and shoot the $hit.
