A recently enacted statute provides for a Massachusettes "sales tax holiday". The act provides that the sales tax holiday will occur on August 14th, 2004. On that day, all retail of single items of tangible personal preperty costing $2500. or less are exempt of sale and use taxes.

In other words - you don't have to pay sales tax for most products that are purchased in MA in Saturday This doesn't apply to cars and boats.
