on the road again

yup you guessed it, the black camaro is back on the road

I dedicated the last 4 days of my spring break to getting her driveable again (Thurs, Fri, Sat, and Sun) I spent the first day gutting the blue camaro, rear end, trannie, starter, misc stuff from under the hood, etc, etc

From there on out it was not all that fun, stripped bolts, new wheel cylinders cause I couldn't get the lines off the old ones, bending new brake lines (first time having to do that) and then getting the brakes together the correct way Whoever did the rear brakes on the car before me had both big pads on the right side and both small on the left. So someone noticed that and I had to fix it.

I just gotta do some prep work to the car so I can send it off to Maaco to get painted and finally have a car that is something to look at. I'm gonna try and catch the extension that they are running on the $299 deal, thats my birthday present from my folks.

who else has taken advantage of the nice weather to get their cars back on the road?

Jay I'll be doing the same thing as you in a couple weeks. I gotta bend some new brake lines, redo front and back brakes, and bend up some new fuel lines.

Then it's ready to get put on the road

I just started driving my Z on thursday. It looked good after I cleaned the inch of dust off her. Even did my first good burnout of the year today. I forgot how good burning rubber smells!!!!

John thats awesome that you got the 69 on the road! Any chance of you bringing that instead of the 4th gen to a dyno day? at least so I can take a ride in it

i didn't put the t-5 in, for the simple fact that I looked at the pedals and what I needed to do to get them out and said eff-it. if and when I change over to a standard it will be a t-56 swap, and i don't see the money for that popping up anytime soon so I'll deal with the slushbox for now and hope I don't kill anymore of them
