Angry Received the 396 today

>Holy crap !
I got the 396 Nu-Tek motorsports short block today .
It came shipped through a company (R&L Carriers) and when I took delivery of it I took pictures and e-mailed them to Nick Norris at Nu-tek and he was pissed . Apparently the company (R&L) caused so much trama to the crate that it broke the braces holding the engine stable inside the crate . I need to wait until this week-end for an independent engine inspector (or something) inspect the engine .

How do you post pics here ? I have them on my e-mail .

Dude, that sucks so bad. That's one of the things that made me look to a local shop for my shortblock.

You would think they'd have heard the engine 'rattling around' in the box...

>I was looking inside the crate today in the daylight and couldn't find a single splinter ... I think that they vaccumed out the crate so it would look like nothing was wrong .It's to bad they didn't put the engine upright before they reshipped .
By-the-way this was the second delivery (same engine, same company) the first time the wife refused to sign since it didn't look right , so Nick (Nu-tek Motorsports) asked me to accept the engine then he would have an independent inspector check the engine . I have been waiting for this engine since July 02 , and now it may need to get rebuilt .

>Yeah he had a bunch from the last gp I started in June , but in his defense (like he needs one) I told him that he could make mine last since I would probably not be home to install it in my car .
You can now refer to me as Sgt bowtiepwr ... I've been re-activated .
