Non-Car: HELP!!

OK me and the g/f are celebrating the 2 year anniverssary (sp) coming up. I need a good place to go for dinner. Either around Providence or Boston area and anywhere inbetween. I'm looking for a total bill of around $80 or so (not including drinks...she doesn't have a fake ID )

We went to the Top of the Hub last year and wasn't overly impressed. Where have you guys gone that you would suggest for a good anniver. dinner? Thanks in advance!

You could come out to Worcester and go to the 111 Chop House. Heard nothing but good things about them, a little far for you tho, thats the only advice i can think of. another idea if u dont cook much then cook something nice for her, she'll love that.

good luck,
jake

mortons is awesome but very expensive.... im not sure if you can do 2 meals for 80. everything is al carte.

porcini's in watertown is awesome

617 925 2221 68 school st. its near the watertown mall. its very good. meals are about $16-$25 each. its a small place. very cute inside. its always up there with the phantom gourmet. its also casual dress. if you like mussels they have an awesome appetizer in a very light mustard sauce. they have a scallop shrimp dish over pasta which is great. and a very good shrimp linguine. ....i would go there. its easy to get to its not crowded and you can park on the street. plenty of parking.

seafood

summer shack in arlington is cool if you like seafood. its very causal but not very romantic.

there always, legal seafoods and skipjacks.

anthonys pier 4 in boston is nice and romanic. meals are about 18-30.

stockyard in brighton is good, casual not very romantic but good meats.

let us know...

There is a fun place in Providence called "Dave and Buster's". It's in the Prov Place Mall. It's kind of like an adult arcade/pool hall etc. You can go in and have a sit down meal and then go have some fun shooting pool, play high end interactive video games or whatever. I had a good time when I went. I suggest it because it's like one stop shopping, eats and fun all in one. Plus it's right in the mall so you can walk around there as well. Might be worth checking out. Congrats on two years with your girl

Dave and Busters is a good place to hang out and relax with friends, I don't know about the anniver. though?

Keep the suggestions coming!

w/out drinks $80ish is a decent ammount for 2 ppl.

What kind of food does she (you) like? You can probably go to almost anywhere in the North End for Italian, or for steak hit up Grill 23, or The Capital Grill. Great Japanese at Sakura (Woostah) or Chef Orient (in Framingham on rt9)

Like Greg said... Capital Grille in Providence.
In Worcester, I would recommend Tiano's on Grove St. or the Struck Cafe on Chandler, or Amore on Shrewsbury St.

If your going to Providence I would recommend either the Trinity Brew House or Fire and Ice. Check out www.phantomgourmet.com for some great places near you.
