My 396 LT4 Stroker is just about finished!

I have just about finished my stroker motor, all I need to do is finish clearancing of the valve covers to clear the Jesel Shaft mount rockers, and mount the LS1 coil packs, and drill and tap the intake elbow for my NOS fogger nozzle.

Go check out some pics I have taken www.96Z28SS.cz28.com

Just got the photo page, i'll be adding more pics when I have time.

Rob your motor is sweet. How many ponies are you looking for and what shot of spray are you going for?

>The engine looks great .
I like the way you painted the water pump to match the block ... I may have to do that .
with those valve covers that you have what are the differences between the underside of the stock valve covers and the others ?

The block is the only thing that is painted.
All other parts were sent to BMR in Florida for powder coating. He did the water pump, timing cover, egr block off plate, throttle cable bracket, and he did the bracket that goes on the back of the alternator. I had it in 4 days. I would recommend getting stuff powdercoated from him.

I would have had to modify the stock valve covers also to fit. Its because of the shaft mount rockers that get in the way of the supporting ribs on the valve covers.

Gee maybe with all that powder coating your rusty LT4 will be able to hang, just make sure you get a big wing and some stickers, those are good for some H.P. I swear to god if yours is done before mine I am going to burn it and hang myself!!!!

Well It will be on the engine dyno sometime real soon,
Then its going to sit for a couple weeks while I get a few things back from the chrome shop. Then it will go in the car so it looks like there is a chance to get my car done before yours.

Rob,
Looks great so far.You will probably get some dyno number's
right after another stroker motor goes on.

Now get off the computer and get working on those LS1 coil
brackets you slacker.

If it's not snowing Saturday I'm probably going to be heading up there. Are you going to be around?

I should be around hopefully putting it on the Engine Dyno.
Then on the following week I should be sporting wood for a few days! I'm just looking to get 500hp n/a then just a bit more with the NOS.
