Good luck Bersaglieri on your move to NH, you are going to like it. Manchester is a nice little city and a good place to live and work. http://www.manchesternh.gov/ You also can live in some nice rural areas right outside of Manchester, like Auburn, Chester, Goffstown, Weare etc. You will like the area as you are about 1 hour from the mountains, http://www.visitwhitemountains.com/ 1 hour from Hampton Beach, http://www.hamptonbeach.org/ and a little over an hour from Boston. http://www.boston-online.com/ The property tax is a little high, but no sales or income tax. There is an excellent machine shop on Clay street in Manchester (Manchester Engine Rebuilders) that's where I had my 454 for my 68 hopped up. New England Dragway in Epping NH http://www.newenglanddragway.com/html/home.php is about 1/2 hour from Manchester. They have grudge night every Wednesday and Friday nights during the season. I think that it is only 15.00 to run what you brung, it has been a few years since I have been. If you want to go for a scenic Sunday drive then run your machine north up interstate 93 or rt16 and pick up the Kancamagus Highway that stretches between the two. It is beautiful all year round, but if you cruise up in the early spring you might get caught in a snowstorm. lol Check out this link: http://netrailhead.com/new_hampshire...-scenic-byway/
If your brakes are reliable and in good working order then run your machine up just south of Berlin NH and cruise up the Mount Washington Auto road http://www.mountwashington.org/ on a perfect day you can see clear down to Boston, it is the highest peak in New England. The road gets a little hairy towards the top, but it is worth it! Early fall is the best time as the air is crisp and visibility is high most days. In the summer the humidity tends to create a haze that reduces visibility. If you like hunting and fishing then ride on up to the northernmost town of Pittsburg NH, unlike Pittsburg PA it only has a few hundred people and miles of wilderness that runs between Vermont, Maine and Canada. You have the Connecticut lakes and miles of logging road. (I would take your truck...lol) There's a few points of interest, welcome to New England!
