Ma emissions laws?

if your not far from peabody just stop in acura of peabody on rt114 ask for lenny make sure you have two plates on(if you have red plates) and good tires let me know about when you are coming and i'll let you what days i'm working(i'm on a rotating shifts)

Ok thanks man. I appareciate all the help. I'm not sure what's going on with the car, I've been pretty busy (went away for Labor Day weekend) and this weekend can't get out to see it. If it doesn't get sold, I'm hoping to see it by next weekend. I'll let you know.

So - 1995 and older = it's a SAFETY inspection, with VISUAL confirmation that all factory emmissions equipment is in place - but they will not plug into the OBD port as long as the SES light is not on. And will NOT put a sniffer on the tailpipe at all?
Is this accurate?
So have a smog pump and cats there for display, no dash light on and the usual safety stuff working and smog is not a concern?
Now I can get a sticker!

check engine doesn't matter if it doesn't obd-2 plug it just gets visual and safety

as long as it is 95 and older and are you in MASS i don't know what CT emission law is
