The economy is not good. You are 17. You have a job. Be grateful.

Every day I hear about someone losing their job who has a family to support. Iknow this isn't what you want to hear and I know you would rather be working in a profession that you enjoy, but chill out, keep your eyes open, ask around, and sooner or later something will turn up.

In the meantime show up to work early, work 5 minutes late each day, and get a great reference from your boss.

If you can figure out how to get a good job reference out of jerks then you will probably have a very successful financial career. Good luck. It is really tough working for/with people who don't like you. Keep your eyes open. Asking around on the bulletin boards may help, also some of the online job services, check the newspapers, sometimes the message boards at the colleges (like in the student union hall) have job openings, and you can always just ask people whenever you go somewhere.

I got as job on the cape, years back, mid summer, at a carpet place just cause I stopped in and started shooting the breeze with people. Just try finding a job on the Cape in the summer...
