The continuing saga of my father in laws 1978 vette, well.. continues. If you dont know he is quite the ball buster and and always spanks my camaro quite thoughoughly. He decided he wanted a new vette, but couldn't decide if he would hold out for a C6 or buy a 2004. Well, he just picked a brand new 2004 Z06 commemerative(sp?) edition. The thing is slick, he let me take it for an easy ride with only 53 miles on it! It took every bit of will power and restraint not to feel what an LS6 pulls like. So...he was in a rush to sell his old vette and I bought it. Now I get the constant " If you can't beat em, buy it!" I am itching to race him now, he hasn't driven a standard in years and I think I have a pretty good chance of beating him in his old car. lol In a funny side story, some guy in a camaro yesterday hung his head out the window and screamed "Nice Car" Why doesn't anyone do that when I'm in the Z? What is the 78 got for a combo?

 

The motor/trans was built about 15K ago, paint is 2 years old, seats were redone this winter, new wheels/tires brakes. Its a nice clean car, but it still needs some little details delt with but nothing major. I found out today the pass. side windshield wiper arm is MIA, of course it was raining out so driving was a bit of a challenge. It has run a best of 12.7 @105. I don't think I'm keeping it too long though, one too many red Chevys in the driveway. so if you know anyone who might be interested let me know. Thanks, Rob
