A4 or M6?
I'll swing by and say hello

P.S. I remember making a similar post a few years back after I put my first blower ont he car and ended up hooking up with some ***** who drives a V6 who promptly kicked my ***
-Don't go through the water box.
-Don't do a huge burnout if you got street tires. Just a little one to heat them up and scrub the crap off them.
-Don't pay attention to reaction time, it will just make you nervous and you'll probably spin off the line. Reaction time has NO effect on ET.
Speaking of, I'm going to NED Friday to run my car. Hopefully the weather stays dry

Good wisdom on going around the water box, go around and back up and heat up the tires a little and go up to the staging lights and stop just after cracking the second set of staging lights and the instant the last yellow light flashes dump/feather the clutch and hang on

Bring a tire pressure gauge and pump up the fronts to 45ish and drop the rears a few pound but do not go crazy on street tires (26-28 #'s should do).
Take any excess junk out of your car (remove the spare if you feel compelled, hell I haven't had one in there for years) and throw the floor mat in the back seat (got to make sure you get full throttle).
Hopefully you don't have a full tank of gas, 1/3 tank should be fine. If you need gas, get some Sunoco 94 in Epping as you should pass right by it if you go to NED using 125
Bring a helmet in case you get into the 13's if you got one. NED sells helmets at the Souvenir shack for cheap money.
Have fun at the track. The racer handbook is here: http://www.newenglanddragway.com/tra...ok/index.shtml
But you can get one already printed for free while you are there. I have the Camaro on the front cover.
Focus on having a good time, watch how other racers do it, and then do it yourself. Let the tech guys know it is your first night. You should have no problems staying above 13.99 unless you have a freak car and can drive like John Force. Go early to take advantage of better track prep. They don't allow slicks on Wednesday night and street tires tend to tear up the starting line.

Well I don't know if the 96 has traction control or not but if it does make sure you turn it off to avoid looking stupid
And if it's a M6 and your first time racing i am predicting a 14.0 maybe a 13 sec pass if you get used to it.

No offense to the young lad with the 3rd gen but I disagree as you don't want to loose to a riced out ****box cause you were snoozing at the line.

For future reference some of the best nights to race are when it's raining down in mass (but not at NED, which lately has been unlikely) and it scares away all the "M*******s'
