Finally dynoed.

Well, the car felt soggy down low and I knew it. I was running my previous tune from last year (which had an A/F of 12.2-13.0).

My first run (fuel psi @ 55) I pulled 368rwhp and 335rwtq. That is a 17rwhp and -5rwtq gain from the homeported heads and shorties. Here is the kicker, my A/F with old program was 10.0 across the board this time! It was off the chart!

I was using datamaster to record data. I was running 42 degrees spark advance. I decided to adjust the AFPR despite what everyone says about the computer controlling the A/F.

I ended up getting the A/F to 12.5-13.0 and cranked the numbers up to 384rwhp and 350rwtq. I ended up tweaking alittle more and got 383rwhp and 353rwtq.

Here is the kicker. I picked up 100 rpm in hp (peaked at 6k compared to 5900rpm before) and the peak torque peaked at 5400rpm instead of 4800rpm before! The torque curve is flat and fat. I have 343rwtq from 4300-5300rpm, and at 6k I still have 335rwtq! I have 300rwtq @ 2400rpm and it slowly climbs. All in all I picked up 17rwhp and 18rwtq peak over the first pull just by playing with A/F.

So, final numbers are 383rwhp @ 6000rpm/353rwtq @ 5400rpm.

There should be some more left in her with a better tune.

Sounds great I was real close predicting the 365hp by your 1/4 runs though
I'm sure there is more power waiting to be tuned in.Are you sure you had 42 degree advance at WOT It should be 22-28 degree advance.

Its what datamaster showed? I was in the high 30's (37-39) most of the way.

Nice numbers Now you know your shift points for the range, where did horse peak at? My cc306 was delivered yesterday and it seems it was on a custom grind due to the LSA being 111 instead of 112 and and exhaust @.541 instead of .540 and a few other numbers were 1 increment but on the exhaust duration. I'm hoping to surpass your mark with the same setup!! Anyhow good numbers John

Thanks Gary. HP peaked @ 6k and torque peaked @ 5400rpm. I need a tune, but at this point it might not be worth it since I am installing the blower ina few months.

With traction you'll hit 13.3-13.5 all day @ 105-106mph with the 6 speed. Dont shift higher than 5600rpm though.

How many people are usually there on a saturday morning? I might show up, I'll know more tomorrow afternoon if the little old lady let's me go and I'm not hanging too hard from friday night What's the pricetag for the runs? I'm hoping to hit 13's since I found out how to make my car bog off the line instead of letting loose although it is difficult to duplicate, I think I'll launch @1200 or 900 to keep from hitting 6,000 rpm's in 1 second's time!!

25 bucks to race (10 to get in and 15 to race). You'll need a helmet with a SN90 rating if your gonna run faster than 14.0 (13.99 or faster). If you dont have one, just tell them your best is 14.5 and you dont think you'll hit too much lower than that. If you do break 13.99 though, they make tell you to call it quits for the day. Atleast you'll get one run.

As far as launching, you need to slip the clutch out at 1500rpm or so. With the power your making, dumping the clutch will just light the tires up and bogging kills your 60' as well.
