>We took down the tree sunday night (29Dec02) for another year . I'm so glad we bought a fake tree a few years ago .
About 5 years ago we went to a "cut down your own tree" farm and picked out this awesome tree then gragged it to my pickup truck with a 8' bed ... I put it all the way in the bed and closed the tail gate and the top of the tree (3-4") started to bend about 90 degrees . Well not thinking anything about it I drove home with the wife and kid .
We got to the condo and brought it inside and stood it up and the top hit the ceiling, and left a nice green streak for about 2 feet .I then brought if back outside and trimmed the bottom , and bottom branches about 3 feet (so the presents would fit) with a hack saw , then brought it back inside , and cut the net holding down the branches then ... BOOM just like in Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase the branches hit 2 walls leaving nice green streaks across them ... boy I hated that Christmas .
Now you know why we have a fake tree .

we took ours down on weds afternoon. i must say.this is by fay the BEST x-mas tree we have ever bought..kept its smell the whole time, NEVER dropped enen one needle in the 3-4 weeks we had it, and never dried out. i was quite happy with the purchase
