OK I need to get my car insptected this year and I might need emissions.....so I'm gonna wait on my cutout until after. However, can I pass inspection and/or emissions with the cutout (closed, of course? Also, what will happen if I get pulled over with the cutout open? Noise violation? Ticket? points on insurance?

 

if the cutout is closed they cannot say or do anything about it it is like it was never there.

 

if you get pulled over with it open that would depend on the cop usually it would be a exhaust modification and noise pollutiuon ticket but they usualy won't look under a car they will just hit you up with noise. I had one. I had it capped when I had my inspection done. They didn't even look at it. It helped to place it back by the muffler too though.

 

cap it for inspection..no problem..imissions is every other year..so it no biggie..but what I have noticed is knock on wood..I run with it open all the time and havnt gotten noise polution tickets..alot of people say it sounds really nice and think its supposed to sound that way..so I say run with it open..if you want see what happens...I went into logan with it open and around state police....nothing happened..not even a second glance..
if the car looks nice and sounds mean they will not give it a thought..if the car is a rust box and sounds loud..then you get pulled over
