Crappy Night at the Track

Well barometric pressure was 30.08 and humidity was 98%. People there said they were running a solid .4-.6 tenths slower than usual and were trapping 3-4mph slower. I talked to about 10 different racers and that was the average. On my first run I broke the tires loose at 90mph! I ended up short shifting to 4th to regain traction. Regardless, I ran a best w/ dr's :

60' - 2.065
330 - 5.509
1/8 - 8.356
MPH - 87.72
1000 - 10.769
1/4 - 12.802
MPH - 111.32

Best 1/8th mph was 87.82 and best 1/4 mph was 111.52

I know there is definitely more in it with better conditions. Track sucked for traction. Anyone know what the corrected times would be based on the baro and humidity? Temp was around 60 degrees. Did anyone local go and run? If so, were you off last night too?

Haha! Youw ere closest. First run when I broke the tires loose at 90mph was my best chance for a good run. I ended up with a 12.9 and short shifted 4th! Probably would have pulled 12.7 on that run. Yeah bad night, but it was fun. I figure next time I go up i'll see 12.5's @ 113-114mph. Oct 11th, here I come!

Don't you love street nights Sometimes the track is wet all the way to the cutoff road My last street night last year I broke the tires loose right before the line at 100+mph. (ET streets).
Go up the 4th/5th weekend and let the car loose.

I know, street night sucks. It was my best chance to get alot of runs in. Saturdays are busy, but I am going for sure on Oct. 11th! Another thing that bother me is the difference in the timeslips between my current setup and my setup when I had bolt-ons! Check it out below:

Bolt-ons Current
60' 2.14 2.14
1/8 8.699 8.602
mph 83.5 86.85
1/4 13.38 13.081
mph 105.78 110.55

I compared these slips because they had the same 60'. I am hoping the weather and track prep had alot to do with me running barely faster than when I was making 300rwhp.

Your mph is good.I would highly recommend running it on the dyno to make sure the A/F is close. You have so much $$ in the motor, why not spend the $$ to dyno it and make sure you are not harming the motor?

I hear ya Don. I have been planning to go, but weather conditions and scheduling have been problems. Even the dyno days are schedules on days when i couldnt make it. Look at the slip though, I gained only .1 in the 1/8th and .3 in the 1/4 with the same 60' and I probably have 70-80rwhp more than before!

Saturday opens the gates at 8 racing begins at 9 am. yes it is a test and tune day so everyone is welcome. if you go any faster than 14.00 you need a helmet that is snell m90 approved. also slowhawk will be going up that day so ask him if they are meeting and what not.

T'n't days are $25 for Sat's and now Sun's as well. The 150 is for test session during points races on Sundays. Now that the season is over both weekend days are test sessions. Sunday is looking to be the better of the two days weatherwise right now. I'll be there for which ever of the two looks best by Friday, got to make sure the redone converter is good before towing down to Maple Grove for NHRA Div 1's Dutch Classic.

Close to my run? Damn, I knew I should be faster. Thanks for the input. What sucks even more is that your ride with you weighs in at a little over 200lbs more than mine!
