Question Atten: Vortech396

>Hi John ,
I am going to need new injectors here , but I am getting a lot of different info from Racetronix,DMS,and Granatelli about the Walbro 307M intank pump and T-rex inline pump
So my question to you (and others) what are you using for your intank and / or inline pump(s) and which injectors are you using (I have Accel 30#ers , but think I need bigger .

But they are going in to Dennis's(9secondLX) old engine that will eventually end up in a convertible 1968 or 1970 Camaro which ever we find first once the 1994 is complete .I know John is using bigger injectors (pre- F.A.S.T.) , but which ones ?

bowtiepwr,

I was running a FMU with MSD 50 lbs/hr injectors and a Walbro 255 lph intank and a NOS inline pump. And the stock fuel lines I was still running super lean so.....

A got the F.A.S.T computer and am now running no FMU with Siemens 72 lbs/hr injectors.Dean will also be installing 1/2" braided fuel lines with modified fuel rails and a big Weldon fuel pump.

good luck
John

The MSD 50's are made by Delphi.
The 50's are ball/seat injectors.

Mike,
We will be installing the Weldon Dial a flow controller for street use, makes the pump purr like a kitten, only need the "loud" mode for the track. But may keep it in the street mode at the track just so that lil V6 is still in sight in the Rear View Mirror

In my experience the Weldon pump controller reduces the pitch of the pump but not the noise so much. Also be careful that you mount the controller in a spot with ventilation as the heat sinking is minimal (no fins) which will cause the unit to shut down when it gets too hot.
The lower you turn down the pump the faster the controller will heat up.

The control is not mounted in a box so be careful not to let the terminals touch the chassis of the car otherwise you will damage a trace on the unit’s circuit board.

These comments are from experience and having to fix a couple units.
