There was a number of tracks in Mass at one time.
At least we still have Epping and Leb Val to pick from still. And E-town, Atco and the Grove are too bad to tow to, just LOVE that haul up the mountain just before you arrive at the Grove, lol. Thankfully there is a back way into it.

BUILD A FREAKIN DRAG STRIP! doesnt need to be all fancy schmancy, just lay down a bout a square mile or so of pavement or whatever, put up some concrete walls or whatever, put in some stands, put a few little booths up and buy a christmas tree.....NOT THAT EXPENSIVE (imo) FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY THEY COULD MAKE! seriously! what is it...like in Tyngsborough or whatever...i believe theres a little air strip....JUST MAKE SOMETHING LIKE THAT AND SOME FREAKIN CONES AND THATS ALL YOU REALLY NEED! lol seriously....lol

When you get a little older, you will learn all about city/town/state politics.

yeah i know but i also know, from what i have seen/read/watched, etc., street racing is a problem. From what i have watched/seen on TV shows, there are some towns/citys that have drag strips that for a few nights a week they are open, for free, for teenagers/anyone really, no matter what type of car or whatever, to race all night. Think about it...you are a speed hungry teenager in a place and the nearest drag strip is over an hour away in another state. You have a few options...you can just not race at all, besides...your car isnt all that fancy stuff, it just has a few basic mods. You could drive the hour up to the drag strip and get in a few passes, then have to drive another hour or so back home, but your parents want you back before 11, and in order to get in more than 4 or 5 runs your gonna be there until they close at 10. Or you can just go driving up and down the local highway racing anyone you see, putting yourself and others in danger. You loose control at 100MPH and there is a minivan near you with a family inside. You hit the car, flipping it over a few times killing everyone in it and killing your friend who was in the passanger seat of your car. Now you have a family and a friend dead, your car is wrecked, the highway gets closed down for a few hours, all the emergency people have to come and clean up and stuff, all because you wanted to have a little fun racing your car. On the other hand, if there was a drag strip that was somewhat close to you, it cost little or nothing to get in, you could meet new friends that have the same interest in cars and stuff, you can really race other people in a reasonably safe and controled environment all night long and still be home before your parents flip out at you, and you are posing little or no risk to yourself, your car, or others and their property, i think that you would choose to go there instead of racing on the street. Even if you didnt, alot of other people like you would go to that instead of drag racing on the street. Even if they had to have a police officer and an ambulance there a few nights a week, i think it would be much wiser than to immediatly say no to building a drag strip. Actually, this has kinda motivated me...Ya know what? yeah. I am. I'm gonna email i dunno who, but someone who has some power in MA and can possibly work on gettign one built....cause seriously....i think that not having a drag strip within a reasonable distance is kinda rediculis....

Theres a lot more to just building a strip in a local city and opening it up to the public. along with finding the money, you also have make sure that no one will hear the loud noises or there will be plenty of residents constantly complaining to the city. then most important comes INSURANCE. you gotta have an ambulance on duty with a couple paramedics, thats not cheap. basically, theres just a lot more involved in getting a track built then just finding some land a few motivated people with money.

also, qoinset point in RI put on a local street and strip for the weekend last summer. From what I heard, they had a over welming turnout and maybe that made a few people up in the city ranks think about the growing populartity for this stuff. we will wait and see I guess.

i dunno....wouldnt it be worth the money? it would be a much better thing IMO for the state to do instead of spending all the money on bull**** like building a new playground at the middle school here and that sorta thing oh well

Your opinion will change when you get older and have a kid of your own. a playground may mean nothing to you but it sure does to the little ones.
