Yank converters and nitrous use

As I have been taking about in my posts the last two weeks, I need more converter. I want 11s bad. So I did order a SS3600 today and when talking to Dave it was good to find out it can handle a 100 shot, no problem. I was worried that I would have to order the next model up, which is a little more money. Just thought I would pass this on. The converter according to Dave, can handle up to a 200 shot.

Edit, I would just like to say that with the RWHP I'm making (not much compared to some) it could take a 200 shot. You big dogs would have to check with Dave.

alot of people have problems with nitrous on very "loose" converters and tend to "blow through" them, i would say 3600 and below is good for nitrous unless you are on more of a race type setup.

Exactly what Juiced91Z said. Your 3600 might flash to 4000 with a 100 hit which isn't bad at all. The TQ at 4000 will be A LOT. Looks like 11's on motor for you and hold on when you hit it with 100extra...

That's what I'm hoping for, but we'll see how she holds up. She's getting old now, just turned 30K.

With a 3600 stall you should make the 11's. I have a PI 3600 in my '94 and I'm having problems with the 1-2 shift with a hard launch and spraying a 200 shot. I hit the rev limiter and had a nitous back fire.

Let me know if you have the same problems. My tune was from PCMForLess and he couldn't gurantee me the fix Does MadZ28 fix this problem?

Thanks,

Jody J.

The car is at Speed Inc. for the converter swap. Once it is in, Jim (tuning) will take it for a ride and see if it hits the stall wall. He is very good at working that problem out.

The nitrous is being ordered tomorrow. Thanks, about the NA #s. I'm going Friday to try and put the car in the high 11s. Although it's going to be hot and I'm not sure what to expect.
