would nitrous be resonable on my car?

I have a 99 Z28 with 130000 mile on it. I want more horsepower but dont know if my car could handle nitrous. If you think it could what type should i get, what all should i get.

As far as miles it is alot but as they always says its how it was and is taken care of and its different for every vehicle you just dont know. I had 205,000 miles on my Z when i put my HSW wet kit, other then nitrous solenoids failing on a couple of occasions no complaints and now i have 211,000 on the Z. But my car is different from your 99 and alot of times most people just pop on the nitrous maybe change to colder plugs and there done not exactly what i would do, my car i had to retard timing 4 degrees 100 shot, do A/F on the dyno, change spark plugs, got MSD Ignition box and so on. Certain things you dont have to do, i just did it to stay on the safe side. Ive been told by many many many people that i dont have to retard timing and if i listened to them i wouldve blown my motor especially when i was missing HARD with 50 shot and when i finally figured out that it was timing it made a world of difference. Dont get too crazy with nitrous start off low, get colder plugs and dyno it ith A/F for starters. If you wanna do other things to make it safer it wouldnt hurt, but remember your motor is made of wearable parts so if you dont blow it up there wearing out faster, good thing is you use it when you want and you use it for a few seconds. Im sure other people have better advice or can add more.

130,000 isnt that much assuming the car is taken care of and maintenanced regularly. as long as its up to par and everything is good on it, then theres no reason at all it cant handle a 100 shot, 150 prolly as well. for all your nitrous needs check out....

I would do a compression and cylinder leakdown test first, make sure the motor is healthy.
