Wiring the NX Bottle heater.

I have a quick wiring question for you guys. For the NX bottle heater, is it okay to wire a 14 gauge wire from the black wire of the relay to the "BATT" terminal in the fuse panel alongside the dash. Also, I planned on wiring a 30 amp fuse inline of this wire. The "BATT" terminal is just a straight 12 volt feed right from the battery, correct? So if this is the case, then it should have no problems keeping up with the current demands of the bottle heater I assume? Thanks for any help offered.

i would imagine you wouldn't want it heating the bottle constantly.

No, it wont be run constantly, it will be controlled by a switch. I am only asking about the hot wire from the power source to the black wire of the NX relay.

Heres the link to the wiring schematic to give everyone a better idea of what I am talking about: http://www.nitrousexpress.com/Instructions/heater.pdf

Re: Wiring the NX Bottle heater.

Wired it up as I planned and all is well and working. I wired 12 gauge wire going from the "BATT" terminal in the fuse panel all the way to the 12 volt wire on the bottle heater relay. I also wired a 25 amp fuse inline of this wire. For the two wires that connect to the bottle heater element, I used 14 gauge wire. Everything else was done with 18 gauge. Long story short, everything works. I just got to hook up the blow down tube, hook up the two wires for the Mallory box, fill up the bottle, and test it out. Smooth sailing from this point on.
