will my stock bottom end handle a 200 shot?

I know LT1's are tough but will my heads/cam LT1 take a 200 shot repeatedly or should I just do 150?

With a heads and cam car I would be careful on a 150. The 200, no, gonna throw a rod or something.

Actually, it will depend on the tune. Run it safe with plenty of fuel, an upgraded ignition and it will last. You will be pushing alot of horsepower through a stock bottom end though.

i sprayed 200hp on a stock 80k mile shortblock, heads, cam combo for a whole year with no problem. i made over 250 track passes that year (not all nitrous passes), and a ton more passes on the street. compression was ~11.2. just keep it from detonating and youll be fine. also keep in mind a 93-94 shortblock will throw a rod much easier than a 95-97 with powdered metal rods. i went 11.34@121 on motor, and 10.54 @ 132 on the bottle in daily driver trim (was the only car i owned). also its very important not to spray that amount for much longer than a normal 1/4 pass would take, or to spray it several times right after another on the street. the stock LT1 ring gap isnt large enough to allow for that much heat buildup, and the ring ends will butt together and break the ring lands on the piston. normal dragstrip passes with at least a few minutes to cool down in between runs will work just fine
