Post Who all is running a dry N20 kit?

If I run a 100hp dry n20 kit on my LT1 can I run it like the car is right now? Or do i need to upgrade the FP? Also would I just run this kit before or after the MAF?

Oh yea i know I would have to change my plugs to Tr6's.

Get the Walbro 340 Fuel Pump from www.autoperformanceengineering.com as it's cheap insurance for $110 approx.
I use this pump with my 150HP dry kit on my 96 Impala.

You could get a Venom kit as it uses your fuel injectors to add more fuel. If there is a problem it will shut off the N2O so there is no damage. I am only running a 75HP jet as I still have the stock plugs and wires in and havent installed my accell/tr6's.

Zex kit is almost as good a venom. It does not turn off anything, but it will not ever give more or less nitrous than fuel. Bottle pressure is used to determine fuel pressure. It uses stock injectors also. Plus, it comes with an inline fuel pump(which is a walbro pump). It is sprayed after the MAF. I have never had any problems with detonation or anything since day one. Its also the easiest kit to install.

Adj. timing, Window switch, Sport-comp Nitrous, Boost, Fuel pressure gauges in center 3 vents and Air/Fuel gauge on A-pillar pod, Mobil 1 only, !CAGS, Yokohama tires, tinted windows.

Low 13's on motor.
Low 12's on bottle.

Thumbs up

Yup, 100 dry is fine. Just use good gas and make sure its before the maf. Dont spray it directly on the maf, i've seen some wierd probs with that. As long as your shot doesnt require the injectors to try and supply more fuel then then can its all good. What do 24lb/hr inj support anyway? 370-390?

ohya, quick edit. If ya have a dry system you dont have to worry about running lean or rich with high or low bottle pressure. MAF accounts for whatever is flowing past it. You can run the bottle d*** near dry.

Who sells the Zex kit. If i can remember where I last seen I think Jegs sold it but im not sure. So with the Zex kit i can run it right near the TB or do you mean after the MAF as in it still goes through the MAF. So if I do a hidden setup and install the N20 nozzle in my CAI tubing it should be far enough in front of the MAF to work fine? If its possible not to even run the N20 through the MAF i would rather do that but i have heard a good many run it through the MAF far enough away to be problem free. THanks for the info.

OK I checked out the ZEX kit at Zex.com. It looks really nice and safe too. How much did you pay for your kit? Its like $595+$149 for the LT1 kit on there.

I got my Venom kit from a distributor over here. But you can go to www.venom-performance.com for more info. You can also get them from Boro performance also. You can get the Venom for like $600-650 ish also. I have my jet about 4" in front of the throttle body. I have missed a shift on the juice, hit the rev limiter and it shut it off. Its pretty damn safe. If that would have happened with any other system, it could have been disasterous. It will also throw error codes to tell you what went on and has a rich lean on the display. When you throw the switch, hit full throttle it increases the pulse width on the injectors and will show a rich reading the whole time the juice is flowing.

If you have anymore questions, let me know.

Jeff

P.S I love how my black bottle looks!
