where to spray at in the 1/4 mile?

hey im installing my nitrous works 150hp wet kit on my 95 M6 z28. where in the quarter mile should i spray? ive got a stock 10-bolt rear end and am running Nitto 555Rs. mods are just an intake & exhaust. my window switch is set from 3500-5700. what gear should i spray in? traction is definitely an issue and so is not breaking my rear end. can someone give me some advice?

Traction will be the only issue. The 10 bolt will be ok without slicks or et streets. As far as when to spray....1st gear is out of the question with radials. The best way for me was to install an activation switch with a longer arm on it. This way when I would make the 1st to 2nd shift I could easily slap the switch on the console to activate it.

Coming right out of the hole spraying off the transbreak with 350 hp shot and then press second stage button after 330ft mark for additional 400hp! Pull parachute lever.

I spray from 2600 to 6000 on mine, stock 10 bolt rear with 3.73 gears and ET streets. Works like a charm.

I usually spray mine when I feel it will hook, usually top of 2nd or just into 3rd (street tires 70 shot). Its fun to fly right by those guys with slicks and lots of traction after they get you out of the hole... you know they're pissed lol

As soon as you grab second should be fine. You wrote 555R's not 555DR's so I take it you don't have the drag radials. I run my first gear lockout when I'm running radials and let the spray hit out of the hole on ET Streets. Its a dry kit so it comes on real easy and is not too hard on my drive train.

theyre DRs, forgot the D heh. its a 150 wet shot so i might lose traction if i rip it into 2nd and spray. i have a feeling i'll get half way through 2nd and hit it. ive got a momentary switch on the shifter ontop of a WOT switch. wish i had a 1st gear lockout

If you really want one, I sell em. It's a window switch with it built in. I could change a little of the code to add a little delay after the shift for you. If you want I can send you the website addy so you can take a look. It's not all finished though.

I have a friend who shoots 2 stages of 300. 300 out of the hole, and 300 more 100 feet out. Runs 4.70's in the 1/8th in his 87 IROC OUTLAW car.

if your gonna wait till 2nd gear...you might as well forget the juice all together...dont fear the power..HARNESS IT!!!!!!!! here is what i did and what worked for me.

car was all bolt ons w/longtubes and a 150 shot running super rich on 16in Nitto DRs M6 3.42 gears

window switch set @ 3000-5800 rpm
2 step set at 2900 (on a button)

I would launch @2800 rpm holding the 2 step button (which kept me under 3000, thus not activating the juice) As soon as I felt it would stick I would let go and nail it. That was about 30-50 ft out in first gear. It would spin a touch but not out of control. this net me

60ft-2.0
1/4mi- 12.1
mph- 119

All day long, very consistently. this was on a horrible track too that is known for lack of traction. with the same technique on a sticky track and a 100 shot i neted some high 1.8 60's on the nitto DR's

damn thats a good idea. i was wonderin if id get to use that 2 stage rev limiter

plus i just bought a hurst shifter with a momentary switch on the side so i can just use that as a switch for the 2 stage instead of the juice. very nice

that does kind of sound like a rear end killer though... spraying in 1st on DRs?
