What times with bolt ons and 100 shot

What kind of times were you guys seeing on a reasonable 60" time (2.0) or less, near or at full bolt on with a wet 100 shot?

Just wondering what kind of territory Im going to be in once I get this set up done.

Re: What times with bolt ons and 100 shot

What has your car gone without n20?
I'd prolly say mid-high 12's a 100 shot usually will knock a full second off your ET.
Cause ur car has LT's id say you could easily see 110-112mph traps
My car im hoping for around 12.6@107-108 on BFG drag radials, and i dont have headers
my dyno #'s in sig are with 138K miles which was last month. best run to date is 14.0@102 2.2 60' on 17" rims w/ mastercraft street tires

Re: What times with bolt ons and 100 shot

Id say mid 12 since its a vert and all and street tires.
With all my stuff in my sig I plan to be in the 11's on a 150 shot, how deep into it is the question.

On crummy street tires I ran it three times and went 14.3 14.2 14.1 all @100 with a 2.2-2.3 60'

I would get a nice mail order tune, it really woke m car up on the motor.

if you can get your 60ft down..then you wont need as much juice to get the results you want. i took off 1.22 seconds with a 75 wet. It's all in the 60 ft

Re: What times with bolt ons and 100 shot

My car only weighs about 80-100 lbs more than most hardtops. I did do some little things for weight. Also, you can add 1.6 Pro Mags, 918's,& E-WP to my sig. I havent updated it in forever.

Supprisingly enough, my tires hook like crazy. And their nothing special, good years. 2.0 60's have been done. Traps at 104 w/o RR's or E-WP. 13.7's

And the engine is in great shape. Only 16,700 origional miles. It was totalled with 11K on it and I bought it and rebuilt it two summers ago. It's a pretty strong running LT1.

I was hoping mid to low 12's were doable.

Also, right after I get my N20 set up, I will start on the rear suspension. I figure by then Ill need the suspension work But as of right now, I can launch and go to WOT almost instantly with little to no wheel spin. These tires hook like crazy with about 22-24 lbs in them. I played around with pressure a bit one time but it made hardly any difference. And the real weird part is that they hooked up WAY better than the old good year tires that were on it from the factory(which were only about half worn, but the tires were a grad. present). Them things I could toast at will. I got these put on on the rear, and it hooks real well.

O yea, someone told me that NX started rating their N20 stuff as estimated RWHP gains, not Flywheel. That cant be right can it? Every car would dyno different depending on if its A4 or M6, AOD, M5 ... etc. You get the point? I havent been reading up on N20 alot lately, but is this right?

they rate it as ESTIMATED rwhp gains. a 100 shot adds 100 rwhp typically to an auto car, or there-abouts

^^^i was spraying right off the line. I had the kit setup on a TPS switch. The way the nitrous hit along with the 3600 Yank converter made for great wheel pulling launches

Cpt, you have any videos?

Thats why I'm starting to really like this whole nitrous thing. Wheel pulling launches, and 100% streetable. No overheating in traffic, and not having to spin it to 7000RPM's to make those numbers.

Re: What times with bolt ons and 100 shot

I was thinkin about goin with a compucar kit with a 100hp shot. I read about all these huge gains with cars that have full bolt ons, but mine hasn't been modded all that much. My '95 has 125k miles on it and still runs pretty good, the only mods are the edge 3000 stall converter, 3.73's, SLP 2otl catback and cold air induction.

It still ran a 12.86 @ 104.2 last week on BFG's with a 1.72 60'

Even without headers and still running through a catalytic converter, could I expect to still see the 1.5 60's and possibly an 11 second pass? I'd hate to spray a 100 shot and only see a .5 increase

Re: What times with bolt ons and 100 shot

here's both videos...the one shot from the back was the 12.05 run but didn't pull the wheels as hard as you'll see in the second video.
