What nitrous setup?
What nitrous setup?
New to NOS and I'm having an all forged 383 built with a built 4l65e and 3.73's, also full suspension. The car is a daily driver with the ocassional trip to the track and use of the spray. I only want to use a 150 shot max as this isn't an all out racecar, my stipulations are I want to keep my SS ramair and I want to hide the system with the bottle in the spare tire well with a bottle heater and remote bottle opener. Who makes the best setup for my application and does anyone sell the mounting bracket for the bottle bracket to bolt to or will it have to be custom fabbed?
I'm looking at the ZEX setup or the NX with dual nozzles which I plan to mount underneath the cast elbow out of sight.

Thanks....as stated before we have everything in stock
I would reccomend a single nozzle over a dual nozzle for the ease of install....we also have the bracket to mount the bottle in the spare tire well.
give me a call and we can get you spraying in no time.......
P.S. with the purchase of a nozzle kit you will get the purge kit for free...saves you $99

Why do you want to keep one of the worst ram air set ups out there? The air that finally gets to the intake is SOOOO heat soaked it's not even funny. I took mine off and replaced it with a Moroso unit and could feel the difference. I still have the original one sitting in the garage along with all the other original stuff. You would be better to change to a more efficient CAI.
SS1156 that's part of the beauty of it everyone knows it sucks and I'll look stock plus if I keep it and add a 150 wet shot that will cool the iats plenty.
Nitro Dave I looked at your website and you have several LT1 kits I have a 58mm Holley tb on my setup which one of your kits will be best for what I want to do? I have an all forged 383 with ported heads & intake plus a custom cam, my car is an A4 and it's a daily driver with occassional track use and I won't be spraying all the time.

Ok Dave, so you're saying the single nozzle is easier to hide but the plate is better for going bigger later if I want? Do you sell the plates separately and are there any mixture distribution problems with the plate and cylinders 1 & 2 being they're so close to where the nitrous is entering the engine?
I have read that the nitrous nozzle should be about 6" from the tb opening for best distribution, is this true? Thanks for answering all of my newbe questions, my other 2 cars one is Procharged the other is turbo charged so this is my first nitrous car.

the distribution issues most people talk about are caused by the discharge angle of the old plate designs....they discharged the nitrous towards the back of the intake...this actually overpowers the back cylinders...our plate sprays across the throat of the intake, this allow the natural induction of the engine to pull the mixture in to each cylinder.
Ok cool that was my biggest reason for wanting to do the nozzles but once I get everything up and running na I'll be getting my nitrous plate setup from you guys. What safety accessories will I need, window switch and wot switch I know about, but is there anything else I should be looking at? I'm going to get the bottle warmer, remote bottle valve opener and bracket to hide it in the spare well. Will a 15# bottle fit in the spare well? Thanks for answering all of my questions.
a 15# will physically fit but is going to be very tight...the remote opener is going to make it even tougher.
For a complete kit I would reccomend everything listed in the accessory sticky...these items will improve safety, consitency, or performance of the kit.
