What nitrous Kit for me?
Hey guy's I am figuring on rebuilding my lt1 soon and was going to put the bottle to it. My current setup is GM 847 with stock heads and short block, no porting except the throttle body, Dynatech long tubes 3k stall w/3.23 in the rear. I am planning on doing a 383 and getting the heads ported and some gears(4.10's or 3.73). Keeping the 847. Anyway my question is what is the best kit to get? I want to run about 300-400 shot, I was thinking a direct port from NX. I know it will need race gas and I was planning on getting the block O-ringed while it was apart. It will be my daliy driver and get the juice at the track only. I was also planning on getting a progressive controler to keep it all in line. Any input is appreciated.
Edit: I was also thinking of running a dedicated fuel system just for the nitrous and running it on alcohol, this would help keep the detonation down and allow me to run the big shot with 11ish to 1 comp for the street right?

I think you have it pretty much covered. A direct port is your best option as you'll be spraying a healthy shot. The dedicated fuel system is a good idea too, as you can run a higher octane fuel in it. And then the progressive controller to control everything. Take a look at our products; we now have 3 progressive controllers, one to fit every budget. We're finishing up our LT1 version of fuel cells now and our direct ports have a lifetime warranty on them. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Cool man thanks I'll have alook around prbably be next spring after I get out of the desert. So you think it would be better to run alcohol in the second fuel system or just race gas(118)?

You'll be able to use race gas.
