using throttle plate with nx wet kit
using throttle plate with nx wet kit
I was considering using a n.o.s. brand nitrous "fogger" plate that goes behind the throttle body. It has a bar for nitrous and a bar for fuel.....has anyone else used them. Do they provide a more uniform dispersion of n20/fuel into the intake as opposed to a shark nozzle in the intake elbow? Will it even work??
Will I have to get longer throttle/cruise control cables?
Any info would be appreciated!

I am putting a plate from 5150 kit ( TPI motor) on my LT1 and from what Ican see it should work fine! nitrous works has a plate system for the LT1 and it works ..so there should be no problem.
I use the plate system, and its much better them just using a fogger nozzle, using the fogger your taking a chance of locking up your injectors. I still have cruise and and everyting. you'll just have to adjust the throttle cable

i ran the nx nozzle with up to a 175 shot, and had no problems. stock longblock went 11.02@124
Isn't that what I said? using a dry fogger nozzle you stand the chance of locking up the injectors??
Using the plate for the WET application is a better way to go.

not true at all. if you use a DRY fogger you stand a chance of locking up the injectors.

chevy1963,actually you didnt specify "dry" fogger in the first post, you merely stated fogger.
I ran a wet fogger, and it outperformed my wet plate by a long shot.
Slow95t/a,thats the original NOS plate they came out with for TPI cars, that was around for a few years then they went with the much better twin bar plate.
also most plate systems come with spacers to move the entire throttle bracket forward (matches thickness of the plate) so no adjusting needed.

Are you saying that with your experience the single nozzle was better? I've had the kit since last fall but haven't used it yet....so ANY info is definitely appreciated.
which plate do you have? the Nitrous works plate isnt worth the hassle,i picked up 3/10's by swapping to the nx nozzle/solenoids,using the same jets as NW plate.
i havent used the TNT plate, but it appears to work extremely well from what i have seen.
woops,i just read the top post,is it the tpi NOS plate? if so they work pretty well, but i never did back to back tsting between it and the NX Shark. Also i wasnt sure they fit the LT1 Tbody exactly if it is the tpi plate.

The only thing that you have to do is trim the T stat housing a hair, really much at all so dont worry, and now its a PITA to change th T stat because the TB comes out a little further than B4,
kit works good though! not complaints be sides what i mentioned.
