Two Stage Systems
Two Stage Systems
On a two stage system you need two nitrous activation switches right(the one you hit to make her go)? Or can you program in a time delay with let's say the NX maximizer?
Re: Two Stage Systems
Actually,
The new maximizer will only controll one stage..
There is several different ways you can do it.
1.First you can run one stage and use the maximizer with the ramp to go up on the shot in incerments.
2.You can run the first stage on a micro switch and the second stage on a button.
3.You can run a Digiset which is a delay box.The way it works is you put both systems on one micro switch you wire the second stage through the time delay box.Set it for the delay time you are looking for. When you launch the first system will activate like normal and the second stage will come on at the time you have it set for.

Re: Two Stage Systems
On my dual stage, I have both stages (both on switches) wired to one micro-switch... With a dedicated fuel system I have it wired to where neither stage works without the fuel pump on, and stage 2 will only work while stage one is squirting... I have a switch for stage one, and a switch for stage 2.... The stage 2 switch doesn't even become hot until you turn on the stage one switch, (and both stages are wired so they won't spray unless the car is floored)... The stage one switch doesn't even become hot until you turn on the fuel pump... It works really well this way, because using a push-button is a pain in the ***, unless the button is on the shifter...
This works great when you're racing cause if you need that extra little squeeze, just flip the 2nd switch..... It's great...

Re: Two Stage Systems
I had my first stage, a 75 shot wired into an arming switch, then into a WOT switch. The second stage, a 100 I had wired into an arming switch, then into a momentary switch mounted on my shifter. That way I could control when the 2nd stage came in for varying traction conditions.

Re: Two Stage Systems
I am confused when you say you had it wired into an arming switch. I thought you needed a switch to atually set it off, not just arm it?? I guess switches just confuse me.....lol. What is a micro switch?

It was good enuff to propel a stock 5.0 Mustang to consistent 12.0x and a 7.7 1/8 mile (that ended w/ a huge fireball from a bunked spark plug
).
Re: Two Stage Systems
Right. I had a lighted toggle switch in the ashtray that I flipped to arm the system. I drilled out the stock shifter **** and put a small button in the end of it and ran the wires down under the center console for the 2nd stage. 2nd stage was tied into the arming switch too so I wouldn't accidently hit it during normal driving.
